PSYCHOSEXUAL THERAPY
WHAT IS Psychosexual Therapy?
Psychosexual therapy is a specialised form of talking therapy that focuses on the psychological, emotional, and relational aspects of sexual wellbeing. It provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to explore concerns around intimacy, desire, arousal, sexual pain, performance anxiety, compulsive sexual behaviours, sexual identity, and the impact of trauma or medical conditions on sexual functioning.
Working collaboratively and at your pace, psychosexual therapy helps you understand how thoughts, feelings, past experiences, cultural messages, and relationship dynamics may be influencing your current difficulties. Therapy may include practical strategies, communication tools, and structured exercises to support building confidence and connection.
Psychosexual therapy can be helpful for individuals, couples and polycules of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship styles. Whether you are experiencing a specific sexual difficulty or simply wish to develop a healthier, more fulfilling intimate life, this therapeutic approach aims to reduce shame, increase self-compassion, improve understanding and foster greater emotional and physical closeness.
